‘The White Night Festival’ offers free visits to museums, art galleries, and other cultural institutions. It was launched in 2002 and the concept of the festival came from ‘Jean Blaise’, who founded the ‘Research Center for Cultural Development’ in Nantes, France, in 1984. Several years later Nantes became one of the renovating cultural city in France, establishing a "contemporary patrimony", which led Blaise to create a late-night cultural festival, "Les Allumées" (The Lighted Up). His concept was to have an arts festival in Nantes, 6 p.m.

#FeteFromMyIsland: A nationwide celebration of music and the beauty of the Philippines

This year’s Fête celebration in the Philippines kicked off with a wonderful showcase of talents from the three main island groups of the Philippines – Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao – from June 18 to 20. Then, on June 21, Filipinos joined the rest of the world in celebration music with four main stages in Boracay, El Nido, La Union, and Metro Manila.

In the Philippines, this year’s edition of Fête de la Musique will take its audience on a nationwide musical journey from June 18 to 21. #FeteFromMyIsland will celebrate not only the artists and music from various parts of the Philippines but also the natural beauty and rich culture of some of the country’s most popular destinations.
