This heritage show has no presenters or voiceovers, but rather “ambassadors.” Who are they?

The show was launched in 2008. What do you do to keep the concept fresh and appealing?

This year’s Fête celebration in the Philippines kicked off with a wonderful showcase of talents from the three main island groups of the Philippines – Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao – from June 18 to 20. Then, on June 21, Filipinos joined the rest of the world in celebration music with four main stages in Boracay, El Nido, La Union, and Metro Manila.

Since then, Fête de la Musique has become an international phenomenon that continues to promote music through a free-for-all event in more than 700 cities in 120 countries every year.

In the Philippines, this year’s edition of Fête de la Musique will take its audience on a nationwide musical journey from June 18 to 21. #FeteFromMyIsland will celebrate not only the artists and music from various parts of the Philippines but also the natural beauty and rich culture of some of the country’s most popular destinations.

How did you come up with this story?

Samuel Le Bihan: My daughter has autism, and after writing a book about a mother raising an autistic child (Un bonheur que je ne souhaite à personne, 2018), I wanted to explore the question from a father’s point of view. I initially focused on what this difference inspires in other people; how it transforms, troubles, and transcends an entourage. Having a child with autism isn’t easy! It requires more energy and commitment, and all parents will have a different experience.
